This was a track Matt Virgin recorded in my basement specifically for this compilation, and in my opinion, the strongest addition to the comp.

I helped produce it a bit afterwards by adding some keys/vocals and some added effects (train) and percussion to help the song build towards the end.

18, he never knew his father 'cause his mother died so early - he never got his name.
and the grim reaper changed his frame of reference until the only thing he knew was this one game, which was:

bringing devils back into the light
once again, never knew
consequence of his actions until that first time.

so devils came from miles around just to hear that sweet sweet sound coming from the strings.
frequency ringing from the piece of wood that was made from his own hands, sounded so strage, so, felt so strange he was:

when he was bringing devils back into the light

he never knew why it felt so strange for that very very first time it came around.
he still tries feeling his way around in the clouds of his mind.
he still can't decide whether he belongs in the darkness or the light.

the devils asked him why he made them choose to think. "give me an answer" they said "so we can feel alright again."
but it wasn't until the end when he said to the devils friends: "have a little smile, you'll be ok for a long long while."
